Remember that movie, Money Pit? I would laugh and laugh when I see that old movie but, no more...I am living the money pit. Every time we touch anything it is always worse than we first thought and the cost is always more than planned.
Today we found out the fireplace insert that we hopped to heat the home with this winter is in such horrible shape that it should not be used at all and cost to replace the insert and get the chimney in working order will be $4,000. I wouldn't mind so much if we hadn't just bought a ton of wood to keep us warm this winter...scream!!!!
Only thing that has kept me sane is at night I get the boys to bed and I walk down the trail to the river about 9:00 pm, it is pitch black out, the frogs are talking, the salmon are jumping, standing there looking over the river, l knew it was all going to be ok...then I hear a rustle in the bushes and I run back to the house...I never said I was brave!!!
